Today I sat here contemplating the meaning of death, our mortality, and our impermanence on this planet. It was then that Shakespeare’s words came rushing in “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances”. Such extraordinary words of wisdom!
We enter in at birth, act out the scenes of our lives, and then comes the grand exit from this temporary temple we call a body and our departure from the physical realm, when the soul begins its journey toward Home once again.
We’re all actors in this Play of Life. And the curtain will come down on us all, no exceptions. The only thing differentiating us one from the other is our costume and our role, and when and how the curtain falls.
It’s as simple as that. One moment we’re on this side of the curtain and the next moment we’re on The Other Side – the place we came from and the place we’ll return to. Even though you’re on The Other Side, I can still pull back the curtain and whisper to your heart. There is only death of the body; our soul is eternal. It is the permanent aspect of our being, the forever Love and Light of who we are. And Pure Love can never die.
I think one of the greatest misconceptions many of us have is that Heaven is a place we’re going to, rather than an experience that lives within us now, if we choose it. We can have Heaven on Earth right now. We don’t have to wait until the curtain falls…
