The Pearl and the Oyster

One day you wake up and realize that the sands of existence have washed over you so many times you’re now a beautiful pearl sitting in the centre of an oyster. Your rough edges have been smoothed out by the sandpaper of life’s lesson with understanding and acceptance blowing the debris into the wind. The back and forth friction of daily life has polished you to a shine through heartbreak and healing, and then finally you let go of those shadows from the dark. You look in the mirror and you see meaningful lines, not forsaking one of them but accepting them all, your victories over the hard times. And then you see your eyes, shining bright. You look into your soul and gaze upon your own reflection. You see every grain of sand and the waters that carried them. In that moment you become aware of the immortality of your own Being. Then like the pearl sitting in the centre of the oyster, you see your perfect beauty. You are a radiant creation of All That IS.
